Where to meet discreetly

Pick somewhere away from your own circles
A coffee shop in a neighborhood where you do not know anyone is easier than one near your office or your home. A different part of town, or the next town over, can help.
Places that tend to work
- A quiet cafe or bar at an off-peak time.
- A park in daylight.
- A museum or a bookshop.
- A hotel lobby or bar, if both of you are comfortable with it.
If you go somewhere private
- Decide beforehand where you will go and who pays.
- Choose a place with a front desk or other people nearby, especially the first time.
- Tell a friend where you are, even if you cannot say who you are with.
- Know how you are getting home.
Leave less of a trail
- Pay in a way you are comfortable with, and think about what shows up on a card statement.
- Turn off location sharing with people who do not need to know where you are.
- Do not post photos or check in.
Have an exit
Agree that either of you can leave without an explanation. A discreet meeting works best when both people feel free to end it.
