About cruush
cruush is a location-based cruising app for queer people. It shows who is nearby, who is passing through, and who is up for meeting now.
It is a map first. You open it and you can see what is actually around you, rather than an endless grid to scroll. Everything else on cruush exists to make that map worth opening.
Who makes it
cruush is developed by technosovereign, a creative technology company.
More precisely: three queers in a trenchcoat.
Adults only
cruush is for adults. An account requires age verification, and the minimum age is 18. Photo moderation runs automatically and, where it needs to, in front of a human reviewer.
Location, on your terms
Your precise location is not published by default. You choose whether anyone sees it at all, and you can restrict it to people you are mutual cruushes with.
Ghost mode goes further. Instead of hiding you, it publishes a decoy position, so someone watching over time cannot average their way back to where you actually are.
Photos
Profile and message photos are encrypted where they are stored, each with its own key, and are only ever decrypted for a signed-in viewer who is allowed to see them. Blocking someone takes effect immediately, including on photos they have already loaded. Photos sent in a message can be set to view once, and can expire.
Where it runs
cruush runs on European infrastructure. It is independent and is not owned by a larger dating company.
