Meeting straight-curious women
Written by Julien Lenaz, lead developer of cruush.
What it means
A straight-curious woman is someone who thinks of herself as straight and is wondering about women. Some of them turn out to be bisexual or queer, and some find out that it is not for them. All of those are fine.
If you are the one who is curious
- The sexuality list on cruush includes curious, questioning, straight, heteroflexible and homoflexible, along with lesbian, bisexual, pansexual and queer. You can choose up to three.
- You can leave your face out of your photos.
- Your exact position is not shown by default, and Ghost Mode shows a decoy position.
- You decide whether to cruush someone, and you can unsend it.
- Parts of your profile can be kept for mutual cruushes only.
If you are meeting someone who is curious
- Take it slowly. She may never have done this before.
- Ask what she wants and listen to the answer.
- Do not treat her as an experiment or a trophy.
- Do not pressure her to go further than she has said.
- Keep what she tells you private.
Talking about it
A simple message works better than a line. Say that you read her profile, say what you are looking for, and ask what she is looking for. If she says she is only curious, believe her, and do not argue her into more.
Meeting for the first time
Meet somewhere public and comfortable. Agree beforehand on what you are both open to, and agree that either of you can stop at any point. A yes to coffee is not a yes to anything else.
If it is not working
If one of you is not comfortable, stop. You can block someone from their profile, and the block takes effect straight away in both directions. If someone is pushy or disrespectful, report them. A person reads each report.
