Meeting discreet women
Written by Julien Lenaz, lead developer of cruush.
What does discreet mean?
Some women are not out at work, with family or in their town. Some are married, some are in a religious community, and some just do not want a stranger to know who they sleep with. Discreet can mean any of that, and you do not need to know which.
What if you are the discreet one?
- You can leave your face out of your photos. cruush does not require it, and you can have up to four photos.
- Your exact position is not shown by default. People see you in an area.
- Ghost Mode shows a decoy position instead of your real one.
- Parts of your profile can be kept for mutual cruushes only.
- Visibility lets you hide yourself from people who match a filter, such as people outside an age range or farther than a distance you choose.
- Message permissions let you choose whether Public, Cruushes or a Crowd can message you.
- Lock-screen alerts use generic text.
What if you are meeting one?
- Let her set the pace, including whether you ever see her face or know her last name.
- Never screenshot a profile or a chat, and never share one.
- Do not tag, name or message her anywhere else unless she asks you to.
- Do not turn up at her home or workplace, and do not ask where she works.
- If she needs to cancel, let her cancel.
How do you plan a meeting?
Talk about what is comfortable before you meet. A neutral public place for the first meeting works for most people, and a private place can come later if you both want it. Tell someone you trust where you will be, even if you cannot tell them who you are meeting.
How do you keep the account private?
- Use a strong password and turn on two-factor authentication in Settings.
- Keep your phone locked.
- Do not put your workplace, full name or street in your bio.
- If you want to leave, you can delete your account from Settings. That removes your profile, photos and messages.
What are the limits of discretion?
No app can promise that nobody will ever find out. Someone can photograph a screen, and someone can recognize a photo. cruush gives you tools to share less, and the rest is about whom you choose to trust.
