The city
Newark is the largest city in New Jersey and the seat of Essex County. Neighborhoods include the Ironbound, known for its Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian restaurants, and the University Heights area near Rutgers-Newark and NJIT.
Getting around
Newark Penn Station has PATH, NJ Transit and Amtrak service, and trains to Manhattan take less than half an hour. Newark Liberty International Airport is south of downtown.

If you are arriving at the airport or the train station and want to see who is around before you get into the city, move your pin to Newark first.
Neighborhood notes
Downtown is around Newark Penn Station and Military Park. The Ironbound is east of the station. University Heights is northwest of downtown.
