Queer cruising app on the Connecticut shoreline

Written by Julien Lenaz, lead developer of cruush.

The coast

Part of Connecticut is within about 100 miles of New York City, which covers the cities along Long Island Sound: Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport and New Haven. New Haven is home to Yale University.

Getting around

Metro-North's New Haven Line runs from Grand Central through Fairfield County to New Haven. Shore Line East and Amtrak serve parts of the coast farther along.

Using cruush

If you are traveling for the day, you can move your pin to your destination before you leave and see who is around.

Neighborhood notes

Stamford and Norwalk are closest to New York, in Fairfield County. Bridgeport is next, and New Haven is farther east.

Planning a night

Metro-North's New Haven Line runs late but less often at night. Check the last train back to the city before you go.
