A cruising app for trans women
Written by Julien Lenaz, lead developer of cruush.
What cruush is
cruush is a location-based cruising app for queer people. You open a map and see who is nearby, who is passing through, and who is up for meeting now.
Your profile
You can pick trans woman, transfemme or any of the other gender labels in the list, along with an orientation label. You can also leave labels off or change them later.
Your photos
You do not need a face in your photos. You can have up to four, and they are only visible to signed-in people you have allowed. Photos are encrypted where they are stored.
Your location
People see you in an area, not at a point, unless you turn precise location on. You can limit it to mutual cruushes. Ghost Mode shows a decoy position, so watching your pin over time does not lead back to where you are.
When you want someone gone
Block anyone from their profile. It takes effect immediately and works both ways. Reports are read by a person.
Where it works
cruush works in and around New York City, within about 100 miles of the city. It is for adults, minimum age 18, and an account requires age verification.
