A cruising app for trans men

Written by Julien Lenaz, lead developer of cruush.

Labels and pronouns

Gender options on cruush include trans man, transmasc, man and genderqueer, among others. Pronouns are separate, so you can say he/him, they/them or ask people to ask. You can change any of it whenever you like.

Photos

You can use up to four photos, and you do not need your face in any of them. They are encrypted where they are stored, and only signed-in people you have allowed can see them.

Keeping things back

Parts of your profile can be kept for mutual cruushes only. That means a stranger on the map sees less than someone who has cruushed you back.

What a cruush does

Sending a cruush tells someone you are interested. You do not have to write anything. If they send one back, it is mutual. A cruush that is not returned simply stays unanswered.

Meeting in person

Meet in a public place the first time and tell a friend where you are going. If you want to move to somewhere private, that is a decision you make once you have seen how the other person behaves.

Coverage

cruush works in and around New York City, within about 100 miles of it.
