Using a cruising app without showing your face
Written by Julien Lenaz, lead developer of cruush.
Is it allowed?
Yes. cruush is an adult app and does not require your face in a photo. Plenty of people post a torso, a tattoo, a silhouette or something else that is theirs without being identifiable.
How many photos
Up to four on your profile.
Who can see them
Only signed-in people you have allowed. Photos are encrypted where they are stored, each with its own key, and they are only decrypted for a viewer who is allowed to see them.
If you block someone
Their access to your photos stops straight away, even for photos they already loaded.
What gets checked
Photos are checked automatically before they are published, and some go to a human reviewer. Anything that sexualizes minors is removed and reported, with no exceptions.
What people post instead
Common choices are a torso, a tattoo, a silhouette, a hand, a pair of shoes, or something that shows personality without showing identity. Pick whatever you are comfortable having on a profile.
What other people will think
Some people will skip a profile without a face, and some will not. If you are looking for people who respect your choice, say so in your profile.
