Dating apps are usually built around profiles, matches and conversations that unfold over days or weeks. You browse, match, chat and eventually meet.
Cruising apps
Cruising apps are built around who is nearby right now. The point is to find someone to meet, often soon, often for sex or a casual connection. That is why location is the main feature and the profile is secondary.
Which one fits
- If you want to talk for a while first, a dating app suits you.
- If you want to meet someone nearby tonight, a cruising app does.
- If you want both, it is fine to use both.
On cruush
cruush is a map first. You see who is nearby, who is passing through and who is up for meeting now.
Using both
Nothing stops you using both. Plenty of people use a cruising app when they want something spontaneous and a dating app when they want to get to know someone over a few weeks.
Being honest about it
Say what you want on whatever app you use. A person who is on a cruising app for tonight and a person who is on it looking for a partner will both be happier if they find that out in the first message.
