Crypto was always going to be a way to pay for cruush. We’re moving it up because more than 20 American payment processors gave us the same answer: remove all NSFW content, including nudity in private messages between adults, before we’ll process your payments.
That’s a ridiculous ask for a queer social app.
A legal business can still be turned down for card processing. The processors we approached also had to satisfy their banking partners, which underwrite payments and take on financial risk. After high-profile trafficking cases and lawsuits involving banks, our view is that fear of liability helps drive blanket restrictions on adult platforms. Consensual adult content gets swept into the same rejection, even when a business actively screens for abuse.
Our Bitcoin checkout lets you buy cruush+ and extra Pulses through Cash App, PayPal, Venmo or another compatible wallet. No extra checkout account or new app is required if you already have Bitcoin in a supported, crypto-enabled account.
Each order gets a unique receiving address linked to your account, an exact Bitcoin amount and a QR code. You have 24 hours for payment to arrive on-chain, and checkout tracks progress through six confirmations. If your payment arrives on-chain within that window, your purchase activates once those confirmation checks are complete. Switching payment methods before sending creates a fresh order and address.
Checkout shows exactly what to send. Your wallet calculates its own network fee, and any Bitcoin you do not send stays yours.
Bitcoin cruush+ purchases are for a fixed term. No auto-renewal. When yours runs out, you choose whether to buy another.
Your bank statement won’t have a cruush merchant charge from that Bitcoin payment. Buying Bitcoin can show the app or provider you used. Your cruush subscription stays out of that statement.
We’re applying to European card processors that work with legal adult businesses. If that means incorporating in Europe or opening a European bank account, we’re willing to do it. We want to build a European home for cruush, at cruush.eu or something similar, with the same worldwide map. Crypto stays when cards arrive.
From where we’re standing, established platforms have a head start and the kind of pull a new app doesn’t. We call it “fuck you money”: making so much money that businesses look the other way about their terms. We don’t have that yet. Our ambition is the full, uncensored cruush in the official stores too.
For now, we’re planning censored iOS and Android store versions, full Android downloads directly from cruush, and full versions through alternative stores that allow NSFW content, including iOS where those stores are available. Same account, people, profiles, messages and membership across versions and the web.
