About cruush and how to support it
Written by Julien, lead developer of cruush.
Our mission
cruush exists to make finding queer people nearby easy, fun, and dignified. I want different parts of our community to meet on the same map, and to build our own social network without depending on Meta for advertising and reach.
Who’s behind cruush
I’m Julien, cruush’s founder and lead developer. I worked on it full-time for seven months before opening it to the public, and I’m still its only full-time employee. cruush is self-funded and family-funded. I don’t take a salary yet; my family supports me while I build it, and they own equity in the company.
Support cruush with cruush+
If you believe in what we’re building, subscribing to cruush+ helps support my work on cruush. You can see the current membership options in the store or support cruush through Patreon.
You can also help by inviting people, hosting a Flash, and telling me what works and what needs fixing. Thank you for helping this community grow.
